KENDALL BEHL HAS A BONE MARROW DONOR!
The evening of the Behl Family Benefit, a bone marrow donor was found for Kendall (2 year old diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis) answering the prayers of many. Pine Mountain Music was pleased to donate approximately $500 to the family from the sale of Michael's Loved CD's.

St. John's Lutheran Church and School in Mukwonago is organizing a fund raiser for one their WELS families in need of financial assistance. Kendall Behl, a 2 year old girl for whom is the recipient the benefit, was diagnosed with Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis, a rare bone and white blood sell disease that mimics cancer and spreads in the same way to other organs. It is also treated in the same way, through chemo and radiation. Through the treatment she has to be careful of secondary infections since her immune system has to be suppressed to fight the disease.

Pine Mountain Music is pleased to announce that Michael will be presenting a concert to support the Behl Family Benefit. Please come and bring comfort to the Behl family.

Michael, a Christian songwriter and artist whose musical style combines sensitive lyrics with acoustic guitar based arrangements has been playing music since he was 11 years old and has performed for audiences in the mid-west. Dear Loved Supporter,

I hope you don't mind if I write to say thanks! I hope you really like Loved because it has been such a huge accomplishment and one that took me years to complete.

I first started cutting demos just before someone you probably know died in an accident - Christian songwriter Rich Mullins. Not much later, I met Rich's sound engineer by playing at a remembrance service in Wheaton IL. I played an old hymn that Rich had arranged called "All The Way My Savior Leads Me". That night led me to an opportunity to record at Rich's studio in Elgin IL. Unfortunately that never happened as the sound engineer, and Rich's band The Ragamuffins/This Train soon left for Nashville to begin touring for the Jesus Record - Rich's final album. Quite a story huh?

So with a change of plans, I began recording Loved at a small studio in DeKalb IL where studio drummer Jack Skalon and I recorded the initial tracks. Next came a very unsettled period where I changed jobs and moved over and over; recording bits a pieces of Loved along the way: I tracked the bass in a basement in Wausau WI. I tracked the accordion and nashville guitars in Columbus WI. I tracked the electric guitars, strings & percussion in Marshall WI. You get the idea!

When I finally completed recording in May of this year, I contacted Masaki Liu of One Way Studio in Benicia CA. I heard of him because of his work on the Wes King Tribute CD. Masaki is also a 3 time Dove Award (Christian Music) winner where he was credited for his work on the Veggie Tales Soundtrack and producer of two other national Christian bands. So what a great opportunity! I flew out to his studio and spent a week mixing and mastering Loved. Of other interest, Masaki also plays violin on the tune "Serenade" BTW. The week ended with a little suprise where my CD was played for an audience of 500 for the opening of a Justin McRoberts concert.

Well with all that background, I do really hope you can enjoy these great songs which are all completely written and devoted to "Loved" --- God. What a joy it is to be a part of God's creation; where He lets me take part in a little creation myself. One of my favorite songs sums up well how I feel: "O I'd ditch these shoes to fly away. To be with You in some other place. O I'd give away my license plate to ride back seat with You." - My Universe.
